Job Vacancy - Technical Sales Engineer

Stop-choc Limited is a Hutchinson SA group company (part of TOTAL oil). Hutchinson is one of the world's leading multinational industrial organisations. Stop-choc Limited is a well-established, dynamic and market leading organisation that design and manufacture anti-vibration and shock isolation mountings, avionics racking and illuminated aircraft cockpit instrument and display systems. We supply to a wide range of industrial, aerospace and defence clients.

The position

The sales team at Stop-choc Limited play a pivotal technical and commercial role within the company, ensuring new market opportunities and prospects are identified. We are looking for talented Technical Sales Engineers to join our professional and friendly sales team here at our Slough Office.

The role:
  • To identify and develop new business including regular client visits
  • Building relationships with key technical and commercial contacts in our clients and prospects
  • Establish client requirements and specifications through technical/commercial meetings and specification reviews
  • Carry out product selection and analysis using specialist analysis software
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals and present these to the clients
  • Negotiation of technical and commercial contracts
  • Preparation of reports, budgets and market information for management purposes
  • Identify and project manage new products and applications

The candidate

You must:
  • Be a qualified engineer (preferably mechanical engineering graduate with a minimum 2:1 degree from a well established university)
  • Have 3 years experience in a professional role
  • Have an enthusiastic interest in technology and engineering
  • Be comfortable meeting new people and developing relationships in a commercial environment.

Desirable:
  • Previous sales engineering experience
  • Knowledge of vibration isolation
