Anti Vibration Mounts

Stop-choc have a wide range of standard products to meet the most demanding customer requirements. Where a standard product is not appropriate, Stop-choc can produce special anti-vibration mounts designed to meet customer specifications. Our mounts are manufactured from a broad range of materials covering all possible environmental, shock and vibration requirements. We often design and manufacture mounts to withstand extremes of temperature, in tight space envelopes and contamination from fluids.

Our anti vibration mounts are available in the widest range of materials from natural rubber offering high load capacity to highly damped silicones reducing amplification at resonance and sway space under shock conditions. The range of materials we use to construct our mounts include high performance silicon elastomers that work at temperatures of -54°C and neoprene and natural rubbers which provide durability and low creep in harsh environments. The use of our anti-vibration mounts increases equipment reliability and reduces vibration and noise, thus improving user comfort and performance.

Our proprietary low creep natural rubbers are also developed to operate at high temperatures giving you the best possible solution to your vibration or noise problem.

We also provide a wide range of all-metal mounts. Unaffected by contamination, these are produced using a special grade of stainless steel and can be designed to provide high damping characteristics. All metal mounts have no contribution to toxic emissions or fire risk and are ideal in sensitive areas. Products manufactured using our unique wire mesh cushion technology are excellent for high load applications and provide the best solution during extreme overload conditions.

Wire mesh cushions can also be used in temperatures of more than 350°C and they act as effective thermal insulators. Utilising the same all metal mount technology, we manufacture low frequency spring mounts for helicopters, a solution which we have established and provided for many years.

Stop-choc have over 40 years of experience designing, developing and manufacturing anti vibration mounts to provide vibration isolation and noise reduction answers to a diverse range of challenges. We carry out extensive finite element analysis on our products and have our own in house six degree of freedom analysis software to assist customers with their application requirements. We also have our own vibration and environmental test laboratory, providing you with the assurance that a Stop-choc mount will deliver results you can depend upon.
